Travel Wise Twins and Triplet Day

Here are our Twins, Triplets  - another fun Travel Wise event.

Can you spot our real twins who came out of their classes to join their twin for a photo?

Apologies to Mai and Melissa - I somehow missed taking your photo.

Well done and thank-you parents for supporting this event - it does take a little prior thinking and organisation.

Day 8 Sharing the learning Learning

Thank-you to those of you that have made daffodils!
I think you will find the Science Slide about different cloud formations fascinating and also the technology slide. Can you make some semaphore flags and signal your own name?
Now that's an interesting challenge indeed.

 Good morning Room 24

Daffodil Day is looking different this year. Can you help by making or colouring in a daffodil and displaying it in your window?  ( refer to slide  8   ) They will look cheerful and promote this important day. If you wish to make a small donation you can at daffodilday.org.nz

Thank - you for sharing your learning, this inspires others and celebrates what you have done. I look forward to the videos and photos and a brief description about them.

Construction Set

Mrs Dijkstra brought a giant construction set. Astin, Cameron and Alex used the parts to invent these creations. What clever building!

A pair of old slippers to chew

Mrs Dijkstra read us a story called "Arthur". It is about a dog who lived in a pet shop and desperately wanted a home and an owner to love him and a pair of old slippers to chew. Our Friday challenge was to design and make those slippers from a store brought paper bag. We had some amazing creations and inventions. We are learning to stretch our brain and problem solve. If it's tricky and we are in the learning pit that's ok, we can ask for help or try to figure it out for ourselves.
