Welcome to Room 24's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 2 class and our teachers are Mrs Sue Dijkstra and Mrs Kylie Smith. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Please check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
Cameron, what a great variety of activities you have been doing. I like LEGO too. It can be difficult sometimes to follow the instructions sometimes. I had some pieces left over! Maybe I should use my imagination the next time. Elizabeth, I really like the name of your boat and it must have been good fun talking it to the beach and putting it in the water. Carina, your Anzac biscuits look delicious! Annabelle, yeh a Maths challenge. You did an amazing job! Your art wall is getting very full. Astin, great Anzac picture explaining what the word stands for and it is amazing what you can do with ‘rubbish’.
Wow Cameron you have been busy, isn't your sister kind reading with you and making up games to play? There is always something to build with Lego isn't there, have you watched the Lego building programme on TV, it is amazing what they create! Elizabeth you put alot of effort into your boat, giving it a name and the drawings on the sail. I wonder if you'll try again to see if you can make it float? Lots of great ANZAC learning Carina, Annabelle and Astin, it is important to understand what it means and you've all used different ways to explore this, such great work room 24!!
Gosh so much to see today Room 24. Cameron your face looks very cool all painted. Your sister is very kind reading with you and making up games to play? Lego was a big favourite with my boys. Have you watched the Lego building programme on TV, it is amazing what they create! Elizabeth your boat is fabulous. I like how you gave it a name and the drew on the sail. I wonder if you'll try again to see if you can make it float? Lots of great ANZAC learning Carina, Annabelle and Astin. It is important to understand what ANZAC is all about. I bet those biscuits were yummy Carina. Annabelle great data collecting and that wall behind you is getting very full. I love that you recycled things to create your fabulous boat Astin. Keep shining Room 24!!
In Cameron's updates we can see his family helping him with his activities and are grateful for the wonderful support all of our learners are receiving. It looks as if you are all having lots of fun! It's great to see the different Anzac work done by Carina, Astin and Annabelle. Some creative ideas from the boat builders - they look magnificent!
I didn't recognise you Cameron! Awesome job disguising yourself! ANZAC biscuits are delicious Carina. Have you eaten them all up yet? I wonder how fast your boat would go in this windy, rainy weather Elizabeth? Great job Annabelle, challenging yourself with Mrs Madden's Maths activity. Nice recycled art Astin. Super work.
