Welcome to Room 24's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 2 class and our teachers are Mrs Sue Dijkstra and Mrs Kylie Smith. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Please check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
Annabelle, maybe you will grow up to be a make up artist? Oh Alex, that is what I talked about in my video yesterday. It is such an awesome idea. Hover discs sound amazing Emily, how clever! Garden art is such a good idea Elizabeth. Ka Pai. What a great idea Isabella. I love your unicorn! Your Mum is so lucky Carina! Happy birthday to her! What a great way to recycle a juice bottle, Melissa. From Mrs Burge
More great learning room 24. I look forward to seeing what has been posted on your blog everyday. So many different ideas and great reporting AND you all look so proud of your work and so you should. Mrs Clyde
Ka pai, Room 24. I can see lots of great learning is happening at your homes. I love your unicorn picture, Isabella. I had to look really carefully to find all the numbers. What a great display of your ten special things, Alex. You have inspired me to do the same thing. Melissa, when I saw your jigsaw puzzle, I wanted to come and help you. I could spend hours on a jigsaw puzzle. That was lovely of you Carina, to help make a cake for your mum. I hope she had a lovely day. You have been super creative, Annabelle and Elizabeth. From Miss King.
Kia ora Room 24 What wonderful work, so creative! It looks like you have all been very busy in your bubbles. There have been lots of birthdays during the Lockdown and it was very kind of you Carina to make your Mum's birthday special. That is using our GEM ; Empathy.
Some fantastic learning being shared from room 24, all using the Sunnyhills GEM qualities. I love seeing what you've all been up to on your blog, keep up the great work room 24!
Another fabulous set of students sharing their learning. Well done. Hover discs sound awesome Emily and I love alfalfa sprout in my salads. The garden art is beautiful and I loved reading your story Elizabeth. Isabella I love the colours you used in your unicorn picture and that egg experiment is one of my favourites! Your Mum is so lucky Carina! Happy birthday to her! A very clever way to recycle a juice bottle, Melissa. A 500 piece jigsaw - I am impressed. Keep shining everyone
Annabelle I love your make-up bag and phone! It's so flat - it must be the latest technology! Alex I love that you have included Mum and Dad in your list of special things! Your hover disc works really well Emily - great job! Your acrostic poem about a storm is very descriptive Elizabeth!! Super unicorn Isabella! That was tricky finding all the hidden numbers! Melissa you have been a busy bee in the kitchen making so many yummy treats, its making me hungry! Miss Robertson
I'm sure we're all going to have lots of unique memories from our time in Lockdown. Alex's photo collection and Carina's birthday cake for her Mum will undoubtedly be ones to cherish. I was impressed with Annabelle's make-up collection, phone and bag. I had to search really hard to find all the numbers in Isabella's unicorn picture and loved the descriptive words in Elizabeth's acrostic poem. Emily's hover discs look like great fun - I think I'll have a try myself! Melissa can dream of all the countries she may one day visit, as she completes her tricky jigsaw puzzle.
