Welcome to Room 24's blog for 2020. We are an energetic Year 2 class and our teachers are Mrs Sue Dijkstra and Mrs Kylie Smith. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Please check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.
Hi Room 24,
Don't forget to check out all the wonderful comments that the Teachers and Learning Assistants have made about your learning. You and your parents are welcome to add a comment also.
We are all super proud of your efforts!!!
Hi Room 24, you have ALL been so busy - writing poems, making play dough, baking (one of my favourite things to do too) and being a shopkeeper. Mmm, I wonder what you will be doing next?
It's great to you sharing your learning, Room 23. What a lovely idea to make a card for Mother's Day, Astin. I'm sure you're having lots of fun with the playdough, Annabelle and Carina. Your turtle poster was well done, Maia. I'm wondering how your crystals are going, Elizabeth. Yummy apple pie. You make me want to make some too, Melissa. What a great cook you are.
Wow Room 24! There is so much creative learning going on at home, it is great to see! I love the shadow puppets Annabelle, I hope it wasn't the middle of the night that you woke Mum up!! He he! Very lovely make up and super dooper shop too! Astin your koru designs are beautiful, I love all how colourful you have made them too. Lovely to see you and your sister working together to make a card for Mother's Day. Carina I love playing with play dough, great to see you're enjoying it too. Those apple pies look so YUMMY Melissa!! Ooh it's made me hungry! I better go an eat some lunch. Miss Robertson
Room 24 you rock! You have all been doing such incredible things your very lucky to have such supportive families helping you learn at home. Baking apple pie, it looks yummy Melissa, and well done for trying something new. Making your own playdough Carina and Annabelle, choosing what colour to make it and having fun with it, and offcourse with your best makeup on Annabelle!! Drawing and creating a poem for mum with your sister Astin, that is very special. Maia I love your large snakes and ladders you have made, that must of been a really fun way to play the game and different!! Elizabeth I'm very interested to see how your crystals grow, such easy to follow instructions, I will have to remember to ask you about them when we are back at school one day soon.
What superstars there are in Room 24. You must be very proud Mrs Dijkstra! Snakes and ladders is one of my favourtite games too Maia, as everthing can change in an instance. A great idea to draw your own on the driveway. Another favourite of mine is playdough. I'm sure Annabelle and Carina had lots of fun with their's. I liked your multicoloured koru Astin but your Mother's Day poem is really lovely - your Mum will be thrilled to receive it! Melissa your apple pie sounds like a lovely warming treat for these chilly days and I look forward to seeing the results of Elizabeth's experiment in the coming weeks.
What a super idea, making snakes and ladders with chalk Maia. You will enjoy watching the crystals form Elizabeth. I love your colour choices for your playdough Annabelle. Your koru art is beautiful Astin. Study ladder is a fantastic website Carina. Great job. Home made apple pie is delicious Melissa. My mum made one a couple of weeks ago and it tasted yummy!
